HAROLD DONDIS WAS A FRIEND AND MENTOR, AND CHESS PARTNER FOR OVER 40 YEARS

I just got an email from Andrew Hoy, that Harold Dondis passed away last night

after participating in the Thursday Night Swiss.  Through the tears which are rolling

down my face, I feel honored to have known this brilliant, wonderful and

generous man for all the decades we shared chess, politics and friendship.
