Nithin Kavi scored 3 points to take a piece of

IMPRESSIVE CONSISTENCY
NM Carissa Yip, 11, plays solid chess with 2 wins,
a draw and a half point bye for 3 points and
a share of 1-4th place, and a +5 to 2257 rating.
MASTER CLASH
 
NM Hal Terrie essays a win with white over NM
Eric Godin in Round 3. Hal scored 3 points to
take a share in the 1-4th pile-up for the top spot,
and a +12 rating to 2212.  Bravo, Hal!
U1800 SECTION
THE MAN IS BACK
David Martin is back from his winter hibernation
and he is up to his old winning ways, scoring 2 wins
and 2 draws for 3 points and a share of 1-3rd place,
and a +3 to 1804 rating. Bravo, David!!
TALENT + TRAINING
Boshen Li is a silent force of the U1800 Section.
In this event, Boshen scored 3 wins, 1 loss to
tally 3 points and a piece of 1-3rd place, and a
+34 to 1651 rating. Bravo, Boshen!!: a product
of natural talent and the FM CHRIS CHASE
CHESS TRAINING PROGRAM.
REUNION
Todd Morton and I explored the secrets and
beauty of chess in Harvard Square, Au Bon Pain
outdoor cafe chess scene in the mid 1990s when
he was just a young lad. Today he is all grown up
and returns to the BCC from his last event which
was the November QUADS, 2002. Todd scored
3 wins (loss to David Martin, in Round 1) to
share 1-3rd place in the U1800 Section.

Harold Dondis, Esq. takes his hat off to young chess talent
Boshen Li in this Round 3 game which Boshen won.
At the same time, Harold was impressive with 2.5/4,
going home in the last round as he usually does.
