Siddarth scored 2.5 points to share 6-8th place with
NM Hal Terrie and Mateos Sahakian.
NM Hal Terrie squares off with Aidan Sowa in Round 1.
Aiden broke even with 2 points to share 9-11th place.
Mateos Sahakian plays Armen Martirosyan in Round 1.
Aashish Welling scored 2/4 in the Open Section. Here he
holds the position with 4 seconds on his clock to take the full
point from Michael Isakov in Round 2.

U1800 SECTION
Key to Success: Keep your hands warm.
Harold Dondis, undefeated with 3.5 points
takes clear 1st place.
Harold, the oldest active amateur chess
player in the world, at 91, is simply remarkable.
Stephen Savage plays black vs Daniel Wang in Round 4.
Stephen scored 2.5 points to share 2-3rd place with Richard Chen.

Steve Stepak vs David Tianyi  Zhou, Round 2.
Stepak went 2 for 2 and David scored 2.5/4 to capture 
a piece of 4-5th place. David up'd his rating 201 points
to 1127. Bravo, David!
Ray Behenna, black vs Tony Cortizas, Round 2.
(background, center): Richard Kahn.
Tony scored 2.5 points, sharing 4-5th place with David Zhou.
Ray broke even with 2/4 sharing 6-9th place
with David Zhou, Daniel Wang, Daniel Zhou
and Steve Stepak. Daniel Wang won the overall 
GP prize for U1600 category with 16.5 points; 
Steve Stepak was 2nd with 16 points.
Tony DiNosse vs David Zhou, Round 2.
Tony rounded up enough points, from Jan. 2013 
through Dec. 2013 to win the U1200 category prize.

GRAND PRIX ROUND UP FOR THE YEAR
PRIZES AWARDED IN THE FOLLOWING
CATEGORIES:
NM Eric Godin takes the pot of gold
with a 28.5 point yearly total 
to capture the GP U2400 category prize.
Jesse Nicholas won the GP U2200 category
prize for a year's total of 20 points.
Carissa Yip took home the GP U2000 category prize
with 18.5 points. Nithin Cavi was 2nd with 18 points.
David Martin took home the GP U1800 category prize with
a yearly total of 19.5.
Daniel Wang emassed a yearly total of
16.5 points to take home the GP U1600
prize. Steve Stepak was 2nd with 16 points.
Sandeep Shankar took the GP U1400 catetory prize,
with a yearly total of 13.5.
Tony DiNosse made a yearly total of 12 points
to win the GP U1200 category prize.
TD Bernardo Iglesias makes it look easy
as World Chess Champion Magnus Carlson look on.
Bernardo is the backbone of Saturday chess.
He is polite, efficient, kind, diplomatic
and consistent. Bravo, Bernardo
for a brilliant performance for the year 2013.
