I recently received a call from Lisa Singer, the director of a new reality show Beauty and the Geek from the WB network. She got in touch with me in my capacity of chess club president. It seems that her show is looking for some "smart" people in the Boston area to participate in her show. Scheduling made it difficult to rendez-vous at the club, but she is going on her hunt for "smart" people (aka chess geeks) at the Harvard Square Au Bon Pain this Saturday (8/20) from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. It seems they're looking for 20-something geeks, but I suppose exceptions might be made. Producer is under no obligation to conduct auditions and/or to produce the Program.
